The CEO & Executive Retreat is a small, private week for chief executives and senior leaders, hosted by Pieter Walker, a leadership, strategy and performance consultant who works with executive teams and boards across Australia.
It is built around two things senior leaders rarely get: time away from the organisation, and candid conversation with peers at the same level. The week gives you room to step back, think clearly about direction, and return with practical actions you can follow through on.
Guests attend by invitation, largely through Pieter's own network. The room is deliberately small, and every conversation is held in confidence.
Your hosts
Host & facilitator
Pieter is a healthcare leadership, strategy, organisational culture and performance consultant. He has worked with executive teams, boards and health services across Australia, helping leaders strengthen direction, governance, team effectiveness, systems thinking and improvement capability.
Co-host
Byron works with Pieter to shape the retreat experience, participant connection, logistics, activities and the practical conditions for meaningful executive reflection and peer exchange.
The week
I
Training, breathwork or yoga in the bamboo shala before the heat, then strategy while your head is clearest.

Small-group sessions facilitated by Pieter on direction, governance, team effectiveness, and the decisions in front of you.
III
Long dinners cooked by our chef, then the sunken fire pit. This is usually where the week turns.
IV
Phones away, private rooms, and everything taken care of. Nothing to organise. You only need to arrive.

The villa
A bamboo shala, a full gym and sauna, a chef's kitchen, and a pool with a sunken fire pit at its centre. Nobody else is on site for the week.

You have not had real time to think about the business, or yourself, in months.
This is not a networking event, nor a holiday with workshops attached. Every seat goes to someone the rest of the room will be glad to spend a week with.
